Men’s prayer walk through downtown McDonald will be held at 5 p.m. today. Those who would like to participate are asked to call Joe Kenbock at 724-715-9236 or meet before 5 p.m. at United Methodist Church, 232 E. Lincoln Ave., McDonald. There will be several groups that will walk different routes. Those who encounter the groups can address their needs to the group leader.
Washington Festival Chorale will begin rehearsals at 6:30 p.m. today at First Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Wheeling St., Washington. Singers of all ages are invited.
Peters Township Recreation Department will hold its last concert of the Summer Concert Series at 1 p.m. today at Peterswood Park Amphitheatre with the bluegrass band Well Strung. West End Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at West Washington United Methodist Church. Guest speaker will be M.J. Markley, founder of Western Pennsylvania Fight Against Addiction.
Peters Township will offer a vaccination clinic from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday at the Community Recreation Center. Seasonal flu and pneumonia shots will be available at no charge with Medicare and some commercial health coverage. Participants must present a Medicare Part B or a commercial health insurance card at the time of the vaccination. Stop by the CRC or call 724-942-5000 to schedule an appointment.
Trinity High School Marching Band Festival will be held at 6:30 p.m. Saturday at Trinity Middle School’s Hiller Field. In addition to Trinity, participating bands include Avella, California, Chartiers-Houston, Washington, McGuffey and South Allegheny. There will be a special performance by the Pittsburgh Steeline. Gates open at 5 p.m. for dinner and entertainment. There will be a Chinese auction, 50/50 raffle and bake sale. Admission is $5.
Peters Township Recreation Department will take a bus trip Dec. 7 to Sugarcreek, Ohio, that will include a family-style lunch at Dutch Valley and “Our Christmas Dinner” musical at the Ohio Star Theater. After the show, visit a bakery, market and gift shop. Departure time is 7:45 a.m. Return by 7:30 p.m. Fee of $120 per person includes transportation, show, meal, taxes and driver gratuity.
