There is Hope will host a free community picnic from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Malden Christian Fellowship, 343 Old National Pike, Brownsville. The organization offers a Christ-centered, 12-step program for addiction recovery for people struggling with addiction, including their family members and advocates.

Washington County’s electronics collection on Oct. 3 at the Washington County Fairgrounds has been canceled. The next collection will be held Nov. 7. Christian Mothers and Women’s Guild at St. Patrick Parish, Canonsburg, will meet at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 4. New members will be installed at Mass. A social gathering will follow in the cafeteria.

St. Francis of Assisi, 3609 Washington Ave., Finleyville, will hold a blood drive from 12:30 to 6 p.m. Oct. 4 to help maintain a blood supply for those affected by Hurricane Harvey. Appointments are recommended, although walk-ins are welcome. Bridgeville Greater Area Lions Club will hold its inaugural spaghetti dinner from 5 to 8 p.m. Oct. 5 at the Alpine Hunting and Fishing Club, 220 Alpine Road, Bridgeville. Dinners will include meatballs, salad, bread and butter and dessert. There will be a Chinese auction, gift baskets and a 50/50 raffle. Takeout will be available. Cost is $10 for adults and $6 for children 12 and younger. Tickets will be sold at the door.

Home Show, a special fundraising event to benefit the Washington Hospital Auxiliary, will be held from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Oct. 5 and 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 in the community room at Washington Hospital. Carmichaels Women’s Civic Club will meet at 6 p.m. Oct. 5 at Carmichaels Methodist Church. Guest speaker Barbara Gallagher will present an informational program about Catholic Charities of Waynesburg. Members are reminded to bring items for the baby shower. Items will be donated to Catholic Charities.

Center in the Woods, 130 Woodland Court, Brownsville, will host a Breathe Pennsylvania representative who will discuss chronic lung diseases at 11 a.m. Oct. 5. Gateway Health also will present a cancer awareness program at 11:15 a.m. Oct. 11 at Center in the Woods.

From the Top will present an evening of worship from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 7 at Howe United Methodist Church, Long Branch.

South Park Women’s Club will sponsor a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 7 at the Home Economics Building across from the South Park Fairgrounds. Admission and parking are free. The show will feature over 50 skilled crafters with a variety of homemade crafts. There also will be a bake sale, raffles and Chinese auction. Food and drinks can be purchased.
