Rebich – 100 years
Ann Rebich of Cokeburg will celebrate her 100th birthday on Valentine’s Day.
Mrs. Rebich was born on February 14, 1918, in Lincoln Hill.
Her husband is the late Miller “Jake” Rebich, whom she married in 1939.
She has three children, Paulette Tansill of Baltimore, Md., Madeline Bambarger of Cokeburg and Michael Rebich of Bentleyville.
A lifelong homemaker, Mrs. Rebich has always been an excellent cook, baker and seamstress. She worked briefly at the Century Inn, Scenery Hill. She and her husband were avid bowlers and did almost everything together. They were also charter members of the Croatian Fraternal Union, which began in the house where Mrs. Rebich has lived for the past 70 years. She and her husband, who played tamburitzan music, did much to advance the Croatian culture and heritage in the local area.
