Play and Learn Parent-Toddler Workshop will be held from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Wednesdays, Jan. 16 through Feb. 6. The workshop is for 1- to 3-year-olds with a parent or adult caregiver. Each program will include circle time, play time, an art activity and individual time with a community resource professional to discuss issues of children’s health and development. Registration is required.
Teen movie night for sixth- through 12-graders will begin at 6 p.m. Jan. 24. Teens can nominate a movie by calling the library or emailing teencitizens@gmail.com. Voting will be held at the beginning of the evening.
Stitching Club will meet at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 28. Yarn, knitting needles and crochet hooks will be available. Instructors will be available to answer questions and teach simple designs. Those planning to attend can bring their own supplies or a current project.

The Children’s Department will hold a drawing for a children’s book each month in 2013. Entries will be available at the desk in the Children’s Department, and the winner will be selected at the end of each month. The January selection is “The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane” by Kate DiCamillo. The drawing is open to children 12 years old and younger.

Citizens Library is partnering with Washington, Trinity and McGuffey High schools, Huntington Learning Center, Pennsylvania High Education Assistance Agency and local colleges and universities to bring programs to area juniors and seniors.
