n California Area Elementary School’s annual program to honor military veterans will begin at 1:45 p.m. The program will consist of poems, songs and gifts. For more information, call Shannon Matty at 724-785-5800.

n Washington American Legion Post 175 will host a service at 10 a.m., followed by a service at 10:30 on the steps of Washington County Courthouse. The parade will begin at 2 p.m. in Monongahela.

n A ceremony will begin at 11 a.m. at the National Cemetery of the Alleghenies, 1158 Morgan Road, Bridgeville. Keynote speaker will be John E. Spisso, civilian aide emeritus to the Secretary of the Army, Pennsylvania. Ceremonial taps will be played, with a rifle salute by the Marine Corps League. A ceremonial wreath also will be placed in honor of all POWs/MIAs.

n Third United Presbyterian Church, 22 Cortez Drive, Washington, will hold a free concert at 5 p.m. , followed by a spaghetti dinner at 6. Circle of Faith Praise Band will honor military members and veterans with a selection of patriotic music. All veterans and active military personnel are invited. n West Alexander American Legion Post 656 will hold a remembrance at 2 p.m. at the gazebo next to Presbyterian Church, Main Street, West Alexander. If it rains, the service will be held in the West Alexander Community Building. For more information or to participate, call 724-231-1783.
