Spaghetti dinner to benefit Toys for Tots, Mon Valley area, will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at Just-A-Tavern, 508 Broad Ave., North Belle Vernon. Spaghetti dinner to benefit Answers 4 Patrick Foundation Inc. will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday at South Strabane fire hall No. 2, 172 Oak Spring Road, Washington. Donation is $10 for adults; $8 for senior citizens; and $5 for children 12 and younger. Tickets can be purchased in advance by emailing answers4patrick@gmail.com or at the door.

Light-Up Night will begin at 7 p.m. Monday in the central plaza at Monongahela Valley Hospital. There will be entertainment, hot chocolate, Christmas carols and a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus. Homemade baked goods and raffle tickets for decorative Christmas items will be sold by the Auxiliary of Mon-Vale Health Resources Inc.

Genealogical Society of Southwestern Pennsylvania will meet at 2 p.m. Dec. 1 at Citizens Library, 55 S. College St., Washington. The holiday program and luncheon will feature guest speaker John E. Reynolds, living historian of the 9th Pennsylvania Reserves who is active with the preservation of Civl War battlefields. He will discuss Civil War medicine.
