PYSO kicks off new season

The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra will kick off the 2012-13 season of free Heinz Hall concerts at 7:30 p.m. Sunday with Gabriel Fauré’s “Pélleas and Mélisande.”

Violin soloist Noah Bendix-Balgley, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra concertmaster, will join the young musicians for Mozart’s “G Major Violin Concerto.” The evening will end with Rachmaninoff’s “Symphonic Dances.”
