Driver safety course available

Carmichaels VFW Club, in association with AARP, will offer an eight-hour course for drivers 55 and older from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 8 at the VFW Hall in Carmichaels. Completion of the course may entitle the participant to a discount on car insurance for three years. Cost is $12 for AARP members and $14 for nonmembers. Veterans and their spouses are eligible to take any November course free. A homemade lunch will be available. Cost is $3. To register or for more information, call Edward at 724-592-5932.
