‘Lights! Camera! Murder!’ opens at dinner theater

Producers Jude and Shirley Pohl will present “Lights! Camera! Murder!” at the Crowne Plaza Cabaret Dinner Theatre, 164 Fort Couch Road, Bethel Park. The show will be performed Fridays and Saturdays, Oct. 27 through Nov. 10, with a special Sunday performance Nov. 11. Friday and Saturday performances begin at 8 p.m., with dinner at 6:30. The Sunday show begins at 6 p.m., with dinner at 4:30. A buffet dinner will be served before the show. Gary Baughman, Susan Franz, Carol Ann Johnson, Vic Kleman, John Schussler, Bill Slivka and Carol Stasik star in the production. Cost is $40 per person and $38 for senior citizens. Artist David Devries has created a concept that brings children’s imaginations to life in “The Monster Engine,” which opens Saturday at the Toonseum, 945 Liberty Ave., Pittsburgh. Devries takes drawings that children have created and turns them into realistic monster masterpieces with paint, airbrush and pencil. He got the idea from drawings that his niece had drawn in her book. In conjunction with the opening Saturday, Devries will make an appearance at 1 p.m. For information, visit http://toonseum.org.

Brooke Hills Playhouse’s production of Richard O’Brien’s classic rock musical, “The Rocky Horror Show,” enters its final weekend today. The show is being presented at 8 p.m. today and 8 p.m. and midnight Saturday. “The Rocky Horror Show” tells the story of a newly engaged couple, Brad Majors and Janet Weiss, who get caught in a storm and seek refuge in the home of Dr. Frank N.
