Star party will be held at dusk Saturday at Mingo Creek Observatory, Mingo Creek County Park, Route 136, near Shelter 10. Viewing will be held as long as there is a partly clear sky. There is no fee. Buffet breakfast will be held from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday at Claysville United Methodist Church, 1279 Route 40 West. Proceeds will be used to help waterproof the parsonage. A love offering will be accepted. Takeout will be available.
Annual archaeology weekend will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday at Grave Creek Mound Archaeological Complex, Moundsville, W.Va. There is no fee. For more information, call 304-843-4128.
Crafters are needed for the fourth annual Holly Days Christmas craft show, which will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 3 at Claysville Community Center, 212 Main St. Homemade crafts only will be permitted. Eight-foot tables are $20 each. Call Gerri Claus at 724-663-5019. All proceeds benefit the Claysville Community Center.
