College chorus joins with PSO

Broadway stars Rebecca Luker and Doug LaBrecque join the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and the All-Star College Chorus to celebrate great romantic music in “My Funny Valentine.”
The Valentine’s Day-themed concerts begin at 8 p.m. today and Saturda, and 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Heinz Hall in Pittsburgh.
The chorus, directed by Robert Page, features students from California University of Pennsylvania, Carnegie Mellon University, Chatham University, Grove City College, Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Point Park University, St. Vincent College, Slippery Rock University and Washington & Jefferson College.
The program includes “I Could Have Danced All Night” from My Fair Lady, “Cheek to Cheek” from Top Hat, “Anything You Can Do” from Annie Get Your Gun, as well as John Williams’ love theme from “Superman,” a Jerome Kern medley from “Showboat” and works by Irving Berlin, George Gershwin and the Beatles.
