Several Washington County restaurants will prepare and serve their favorite dishes to help raise money to assist low-income families throughout the county at the seventh annual Taste of Washington County.

The event will be held from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. April 4 at the Doubletree Hotel, in the lower ballroom.

For a $35 donation to the Greater Washington County Food Bank, those who attend can sample foods from The Meadows Casino, Olive Garden, Sweeties Cinnamon House, Texas Road House, Sweeny’s, Giant Eagle McMurray, Doubletree Hotel and others. The evening also will feature raffles and a variety of Chinese auction items. The grand door prize is an All-Clad stainless steel cookware set.

Reservations can be made by calling the food bank at 724-229-8175 or visiting www.gwcfb.org.

In 2012, the food bank served 5,062 unduplicated households through a network of 30 food pantries and distributed more than 2.3 million pounds of food to families in need.
