The American Hellenic Education Progressive Association Chapter 156 of Canonsburg, awarded its 2013 four-year scholarships to the following students:

• Alexis Aronson, a graduate of Peters Township High School. She is pursuing a degree in Spanish eduction at the University of Dayton. Her parents are Dr. and Mrs. John Aronson of McMurray.

• Alyssa Blanock, a graduate of Trinity High School. She is majoring in business at Clarion University of Pennsylvania. Her parents are Mr. and Mrs. Eric Blanock of Washington.

• Christopher Gregorakis, a graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School. He is majoring in print journalism at Penn State University. His parents are Gus Gregorakis of Trafford and Brenda Rupert of Houston.

• Marlena Karavolis, a graduate of Peters Township High School. She is pursuing an associate degree in animal care at Becker College in Massachusetts. Her parents are Dr. and Mrs. Luke Karavolis of McMurray.

• William Pihiou, a graduate of Canon-McMillan High School. He is pursuing a degree in pharmacy at the University of Pittburgh at Johnstown. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. James Pihiou of Canonsburg.

• Twins Joan and Marsha Stamatakis, graduates of Montour High School. Joan is pursuing a degree in industrial engineering at Penn State University, and Marsha is studying to become a physical therapist at the University of Pittsburgh. Their parents are Mr. and Mr. Paul Stamatakis of McKees Rocks.
