Arts, crafts festival at fairgrounds

The 19th annual Pennsylvania Arts and Crafts Christmas Festival will begin today and continue through the weekend, plus Oct. 26 and 27, at the Washington County Fairgrounds.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

There will be 230 booths featuring artists, craftsmen and vendors from 12 states selling their wares in wood, fiber, artwork, ceramics, soft sculpture, glass and wax. The emphasis is on traditional, folk and country designs, with an extensive selection of home decor and accessories.

There will be tole and decorative furniture, jewelry, wooden toys, photography, embellished clothing, dried and silk floral arrangements, scented candles, personalized ornaments, photo mats and frams, lotions, soaps and Christmas decor.

In addition, Santa Claus will be on hand, and there will be entertainment, food and trolley rides.

Tickets are $6 for adults, $5.50 for senior citizens and $1 for 6- to 12-year-olds.
