Catholic Charities, Washington County office, is accepting applications for children 18 and younger, the elderly and disabled adults who are eligible to receive gifts through the Angel Tree project. Registration will be accepted from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday at Catholic Charities, 331 S. Main St. Residents are eligible to receive gifts if their gross monthly household income is at or below 200 percent of the federal poverty guidelines and they are not receiving assistance from other Christmas programs. Barclay-Robinson-Phillips ladies auxiliary to VFW Post 567, McDonald, is sponsoring a “Stop the Bullying” poster contest for fourth- through sixth-graders at Fort Cherry Elementary School. Posters will be picked up on Thursday. They will be shown at businesses in McDonald.

Halloween party will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Chartiers-Houston Community Library. Youngsters will make trick-or-treat bags, and there will be a magician. Call 724-745-4300 to register.

Washington Camera Club will meet at 7 p.m. Nov. 5 at the Flyers’ Club, Washington County Airport. The program will include a review of the scavenger hunt images and a “Creative Corner.”

Joy of Christmas Craft Show will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 9 at South Hills Assembly Church, 2725 Bethel Church Road, Bethel Park. There will be more than 50 crafters, a ticket auction, bake sale and lunch. Proceeds benefit Hillcrest Christian Academy. Call 412-854-4040.
