Steelers fans will get a sneak peek at the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation’s new 9/11 touring exhibit Sunday.

The exhibit will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Art Rooney Avenue. FDNY firefighters who were at ground zero will be accompanying the exhibit.

The mobile Exhibit showcases a 1,000 square-foot trailer that contains artifacts donated by NYC firehouses. Another portion of the exhibit will be a tribute to the first responders and will chronicle Siller’s off-duty run through a blocked Brooklyn Battery Tunnel on his way to the World Trade Center Towers while carrying 70 pounds of gear on his shoulders.

It also will include a piece of the World Trade Center steel welded into the form of the Twin Towers, an audio recording of the last known transmission shortly before the South Tower collapsed and a piece of aluminum facade from the World Trade Center.

The 9/11 mobile exhibit will be unveiled and dedicated Wednesday at the Airborne and Special Operations Museum near Fort Bragg in Fayetteville, N.C.
