September is Library Card Sign-up Month. Visit the library and pick up a new WAGGIN card. The library will replace damaged or lost cards at no charge in September.
Teddy Bear Picnic for 2- to 6-year-olds will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday. There will be a picnic on the lawn, crafts and other activities. Bring along your favorite teddy bear. Registration is required either by visiting the Children’s Department or calling the library.
Free Kaplan S.A.T. practice test will be given from 10 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday. Seating is limited. High school students can register online at www.evakbowlby.org or by calling the library.
Free S.A.T. preparation classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays, Sept. 13-27. Math, language arts and writing will be covered. Bring a scientific calculator if possible and bagged lunch. Registration is required by calling the library.

Enroll America, a nonprofit in the Pittsburgh area, is teaming up with Citizens Library to provide information sessions about health insurance options under the Affordable Care Act. Sessions will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday and again from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sept. 18. Certified volunteers will be available to help patrons with the application process, and financial assistance is available for many people who sign up. Snacks will be provided.
Chess Club will meet at 10 a.m. Saturday in the lower level meeting room. All ages and skill levels are welcome. Instructors will teach those who want to learn how to play, as well as teach strategies to those who want to play better.
Job Finding Assistance Workshop will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 8 or 6 to 8 p.m. Sept. 24. Instructor Ron Hart will provide the materials and information. Hart provides total assistance, including targeted résumés, cover letters, practice interviews and job search guidance. No template is used. The workshop is free, but the book, “Make Your Résumé Talk,” will be available for $20. Class size is limited, and registration is required by calling the library.
Noontime Lunch with Friends will be held Sept. 9. Park Burroughs will discuss his book, “Washington County Murder & Mayhem: Historic Crimes of Southwestern Pennsyvlania.” Lunch will be served after the program for $5. Speakers for the remainder of the 2014-15 series are:

Story-time registration for fall sessions of preschool and toddler story times begins Sept. 16. Story times will be held as follows:
• Preschool, for 3- to 5-year-olds, 2 to 3 p.m. Tuesdays, Oct. 7 through Dec. 9.
• Toddler, 1 1/2– to 2-year-olds, 10:30 to 11 a.m. Wednesdays, Oct. 8 through Dec. 10.
• Toddler, 2 1/2– to 3-year-olds, 11:30 a.m. to noon Wednesdays, Oct. 8 through Dec. 10.
