The Slovene National Benefit Society will host its 33rd annual Slovenefest Friday through Sunday at the SNPJ Recreation Center in Lawrence County.

SNPJ’s Slovenefest, which is the largest Slovenian cultural festival in North America, will feature more than 20 Slovenian polka bands and button box accordion clubs at five indoor/outdoor venues.

Musicians from Pennsylvania, Ohio, Michigan and Canada will perform from noon until midnight each day. I addition, there will be traditional festival fare, including funnel cakes, apple dumplings, gyros and corn dogs, plus barbecued lamb and pork and Slovenian specialties, like potica and klobase.

Other activities include swimming, fishing, miniature golf, a trackless train and inflatable jumps.

Admission is $10 each day; a three-day pass is available for $25. Children 16 and younger are admitted free.

For more information or directions, call the SNPJ Recreation Center at 724-0336-5180 or visit www.slovenefest.com.
