Washington Hospital will host a fundraiser from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday and Friday in the community room. The fundraiser will feature Aunt Carol’s Gourmet Dips, which include vegetable and cheesecake/dessert dips. All proceeds will benefit Washington Health System. How to Prevent Diabetes will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. every Monday in June in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Participants will learn how to make better food choices, begin to lose weight, become more active, discuss changing behaviors to improve habits and use food records to track food choices. Fee is $50. Managing Your Diabetes will be held from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. June 3-5 in the Education Conference Center at Monongahela Valley Hospital. Completion of the three-day “Diabetes Self-Management Training” is a prerequisite. Registration is required at least one week in advance by calling 724-258-1483.

Dog-gone Hike will begin at 6:30 p.m. June 4 at the no-leash area at Mingo Creek County Park. Water is recommended for participants and their dogs. The program is free. Registration is required by calling the Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation at 724-228-6867.

Wheeling Civic Garden Center, Oglebay Park, Oglebay, W.Va., will hold its annual clothes sale from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 6 and 7 and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. June 8. Those interested in donating clothes are asked to bring them in before June 3. For more information, call 304-242-0665.
