West End Neighborhood Watch Chapter I will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday at West Washington United Methodist Church.

Washington Salvation Army invites women to meet from 10 to 11:30 a.m. every Thursday for Bible study, crafts, couponing, occasional trips and fellowship.

Chartiers Crossroads Presbyterian Church, 502 Old Hickory Ridge Road, Washington, will hold a spaghetti dinner to benefit Ernie Myers from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m. Oct. 12. Dinner will include spaghetti and meatballs, salad, bread, dessert and a drink. Cost is $10 for adults and $5 for children 10 and younger. Children younger than 3 are free. Takeout will be available. Myers has suffered from multiple intestinal obstructions for the last 13 years. He is on an intestinal transplant waiting list.

Chartiers-Houston Community Library needs volunteers to help sell tickets door to door Oct. 18 for its 50/50 drawing. Volunteers can help canvass a small area between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m. For more information, call Jane Worthington at 724-328-1379.

Chartiers-Houston Community Library will hold a spaghetti dinner from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Houston American Legion. Cost is $7 for adults and $3 for children younger than 12. There will be a Chinese auction and the community’s largest 50/50 drawing. The winner will be drawn at 5 p.m. Proceeds will benefit the library to offset the $50,000 cut from its budget from Chartiers-Houston School District.

Bridgeville Area Historical Society will sponsor “Forgotten Tales of Pittsburgh” at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in the Chartiers Room at Bridgeville Volunteer Fire Department.

Senior Health Fair will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Oct. 30 at The Devonshire of Mt. Lebanon, 1050 McNeilly Road, Pittsburgh. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 412-343-2200.

Chapter 1 National Duncan Glass Society will sponsor an antiques and collectibles sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 1 at the 4-H building at the Washington County Fairgrounds. Admission is free.
