Pianist O’Riley to perform at W&J

Pianist Christopher O’Riley will bring the music of R.E.M., Pink Floyd, Radiohead and other acts to Olin Fine Arts Center at Washington & Jefferson College Oct. 29.

O’Riley’s performance, “Out of My Hands,” also will dive into repertoire from Portishead, Cocteau Twins, Nirvana, The Bad Plus, The Smiths and Tears for Fears.

As host of the NPR music program “From the Top,” O’Riley is known for his musings on music and popular culture.
