Liberty United Methodist Church, 1330 Banetown Road, Washington, will host a chicken-and-biscuit community dinner from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday. Dinner includes mashed potatoes, green beans, coleslaw or fruit, dessert and beverage. A free-will offering will be accepted. All proceeds will benefit local charities. Takeout will be available. Horses with Hope Inc., an equine therapeutic riding center, 6235 Brush Run Road, Bethel Park, will host an open house from 1 to 3 p.m. Sept. 28. Programs for children and adults with physical, emotional and cognitive disabilities are offered. Light refreshments will be served.
