HARFORD (AP) – A bank said the actor best known as sitcom character Balki Bartokomous was a perfect stranger when it comes to making payments on his rural Pennsylvania properties.
First National Bank of Pennsylvania recently foreclosed on four of “Perfect Strangers” star Bronson Pinchot’s Harford Township properties, including the community’s post office.
The bank said the 55-year-old Pinchot owes more than $270,000 and hasn’t been heard from in over a year. He also owes $13,768 in taxes. The properties are scheduled for sheriff’s sale April 28.
Pinchot owned several other area properties that aren’t in foreclosure. They include a mansion he renovated on television. It’s for sale for $399,000.
Pinchot played Balki on the 1986-1993 comedy.
About 1,400 people live in Harford, near the New York border.
