After Hours Girls Night In Party will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. April 10. There will be manicures, pedicures, hair styling, craft time, snack time and a Disney-themed scavenger hunt. Call the library to register.

National Library Week will be celebrated April 12-18, and the library is offering fine forgiveness to all Greene County residents.

Book Club will host a local author, Pastor John Dorean, from 6 to 8 p.m. April 13. Dorean will discuss his latest published work, “Justice in Greene.” Copies of his book will be available for purchase. Registration is required by calling the library.

A free Creative Writing Workshop for youth and adults will be held at 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays, April 14-23 and May 5-21. Abigail Hancher, a senior at Waynesburg University majoring in English and creative writing, will conduct the workshop. Call the library to register.

Gardening on a Budget will be held from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. April 15. A Greene County Master Gardeners will lead the session. Call the library to register.

Poetry Reading & Awards Ceremony will be held at 5:30 p.m. April 16. Winners of the Poetry Contest, which was held in March, will be announced, and participants will be invited to read their original work. Light refreshments will be served.

Free SAT preparation classes will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays,, April 11-25. Math, language arts and writing will be covered. Bring a scientific calculator, if possible, and a bagged lunch. Registration is required by calling the library.

Movie Night @ Your Library will begin at 5:30 p.m. April 22. Disney’s “Into the Woods” will be shown. Seated is limited. Call the library to register.

Quarter Auction will be held at 6 p.m. April 25 at the Greene County Fairgrounds. Vendors will be auctioning off many items; participants can purchase one or more paddles to be eligible to bid. All bids are just one to four quarters. The fundraising event is hosted by the Greene County Library System.

Nomination forms for the annual Stunda Good Egg Award are available. Ballots must be submitted to the library’s selection committee by April 24. The winner will be announced April 27. The selection committee will make its decision based on the merit of the nominations, not on the number of nominations received by any candidate. The Good Egg Award was created to recognize members of the Burgettstown/Tri-State area who selflessly donate time, financial support or expertise to improving the quality of life in the Burgettstown area. The annual award ceremony will be held at 7 p.m. May 14.

Annual Spring Tea will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. April 19. A light lunch and desserts will be served. There also will be a split-ticket raffle of themed baskets and a separate raffle for a custom pastel quilt. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased at the library or from a library board member.

Ladies Book Club will meet at 2 p.m. April 16. “Divergent” by Veronica Roth will be discussed.

Chess Club will meet at 10 a.m. April 11 in the lower-level meeting room. The club is open to all ages and levels of play. Instructors will teach those who want to learn how to play, as well as teach strategies to those who want to play better.

National Library Week will be celebrated April 12-18, and the Children’s Department will celebrate by premiering the book “Number One Sam” by Greg Pizzoli. The book is the 2015 selection for the Pennsylvania Literacy Initiative, “One Book, Every Young Child,” which highlights the importance of early literacy development in preschoolers. The book will be featured in the preschool and toddler story times.

Family Story Night will be held at 6:30 p.m. April 13. The program includes stories, crafts and snacks. Registration is requested by April 10.

SAT Mastery with Huntingdon Learning Center will be held as follows:

• SAT overview – 6:30 p.m. April 13;

• Full-length practice SAT – 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 18;

• SAT prep classes – 6:30 p.m. April 27-30.

Cost is $150, and everything is included. Full scholarships are available on the library’s website.

Noontime Lunch with Friends will be held April 14. Annette Dashofy, author of “Circle of Influence,” will speak. Lunch is available after the program for $5.

Citizens and Peters Township libraries will host author Samuel Hazo for a two-part discussion on Robert Frost’s poetry. Hazo will focus on the poems that show Frost’s insight into relationships between people from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 21; he will discuss several of Frost’s best poems that deal with the importance of choice from 7 to 8:30 p.m. April 28. Light refreshments will be served.

Video Game Club for sixth- through eighth-graders will meet at 3:30 p.m. April 24.
