Plaisted – 100 years
Leah Cooper Plaisted will celebrate her 100th birthday with red and yellow balloons, cake with her favorite red and yellow decorations and music with friends and residents of Hawthorne Woods in Washington.
She was born October 15, 1915, in Shinglehouse.
She married the love of her life, the late Leon B. Plaisted, April 3, 1937.
She has one son, Martin L. Plaisted; and two grandchildren, Martin L. Plaisted Jr. and Johnny L. Plaisted.
Mrs. Plaisted was an active member of First Baptist Church of Claysville. She enjoyed playing the organ, piano and singing in the choir. For many years, she worked at Sears & Roebuck as a PBX operator until her retirement.
