Christmas crafts festival to be held

The 21st annual Pennsylvania Arts & Crafts Christmas Festival will be held Friday through Sunday and Oct. 24-25 at Washington County Fairgrounds.
More than 230 decorated booths will be located in six indoor buildings. Artists, craftsmen and vendors from 13 states will display and sell handcrafted items made from wood, fiber, ceramics, soft sculpture, glass, wax and artwork. The show emphasis is on traditional, folk and country designs and a wide assortment of holiday items.
The festival will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sundays. Photos with Santa will be available from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday and 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. Bring your own camera.
Free musical performances by Shelly McCombie will be held from noon to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday near the food court, The Carrola Brothers will perform every day of the festival and the Trinity High School chorus will perform from noon to 12:30 p.m. and 1 to 1:30 p.m. Friday. The Pennsylvania Trolley will provide two mile rides at an additional fee and the Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will be open as well.
Shoppers are advised to dress warmly. Admission is $6 for adults, $5.50 for senior citizens age 65 and older, $1 for children ages 6 through 12 and children 5 and younger are free. Additional discounts are available for groups of 20 or more. Church, civic organizations, corporations and other groups should call the festival office for group discounts.
