Moundsville to host Festival of Colors

The fourth annual Festival of Colors will be held from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday at New Vrindaban’s Palace of Gold in Moundsville, W.Va.
The outdoor family-friendly event will feature live mantra rock and hip-hop by Ananda Groove, Atma, Jai Krishna and Bhakti Dance, who tours color festivals nationwide. Every half hour, there will be a group color throw, when multicolored organic powders will be hurled into the air.
There also will be yoga lessons, clothing stalls and food vendors selling authentic Indian food along with Western fare, such as pizza and french fries.
Starter packages, including admission and two bags of colors, are $12 online and $15 at the gate. The super package, which includes admission, five bags of colors, a T-shirt and a vegetarian meal, is $30 online and $35 at the gate. Children younger than 5 are free.
