For the fifth year, the Valley Garden Club will award two $1,000 scholarships to assist students pursuing an education in horticulture, landscape design, botany, plant pathology, forestry, agronomy, environmental concerns, city planning, land management and allied sciences.

Students who attend Belle Vernon, Monessen, California, Frazier, Ringgold or Charleroi high schools can contact their guidance office for a scholarship application and information.

The application, plus an essay documenting the student’s career goals, two recommendations and an official transcript must be submitted by April 25.
