West End Neighborhood Watch will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the church hall at West Washington United Methodist Church.
Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation will hold a butterfly roundup for 3- through 5-year-olds at 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. Aug. 2 and 3 at Mingo Creek County Park, Shelter 1. Youngsters will learn about the life cycle and proper ways to collect and observe butterflies. Collection nets will be provided. The program is free, but registration is required by calling the Washington County Department of Parks and Recreation at 724-228-6867.
Hiller Volunteer Fire Company will hold its annual Hog Roast from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. Aug. 6. Craft and flea market tables open at 10. The afternoon schedule will feature dancers, a parade at 3 p.m., followed by magician David Lawrence and musical entertainment by the Outpost Band at 7. Other activities include a bounce house, inflatable obstacle course, games, Chinese auction and therapy dogs.
AFSCME Retiree Local 8402 will hold a meeting and picnic at 1 p.m. Tuesday at VFW Post 191 in Canonsburg.
