Ban gun-free zones
In response to your June 17 editorial cartoon asking if readers can put their fingers on the common thread in recent mass shootings, I certainly can.
All the shootings happened in gun-free zones. Isn’t it ironic how bad guys don’t pay attention to laws and signs? Isn’t murder already illegal?
If you want mass shootings to stop, outlaw all gun-free zones and allow citizens full access to their God-given right of self-defense. Mass shootings do not happen when armed citizens are present.
In every case presented by the cartoon, an armed citizen could have drastically altered history for the better. When seconds count, the police are often minutes away.
Ban gun-free zones for a safer America, simple solution.
