In addition, The Meadows recently announced that two Grammy Award-winning bands will perform in October at its new event center: The Temptations Review, featuring Dennis Edwards, will perform Oct. 21, and Blood Sweat & Tears, featuring Bo Bice, will perform Oct. 22.

Edwards is an R&B and soul singer who is the last surviving original lead singer of The Temptations. He performed with the group during some of their most successful years with Motown Records from the late 1960s to the mid-1980s.

His vocals dominated the airwaves with the group’s Grammy-Award winning hits, “Papa Was a Rollin’ Stone” and “Cloud Nine,” along with “Ball of Confusion (That’s What the World is Today).”

Blood Sweat & Tears will bring a mix of vocals, musicianship and a multitude of solid gold hits, led by pop phenomenon Bice. The band fused rock, blues, pop, horn arrangements and jazz improvisation into a hybrid, which came to be known as “jazz-rock.”

Blood Sweat & Tears’ second album, “Blood, Sweat & Tears,” topped the Billboard charts for many weeks and beat out the Beatles’ “Abbey Road” for the Album of the Year Grammy in 1970. That album produced three major hit singles: “You Made me so Very Happy,” “Spinning Wheel,” and “And When I Die.”
