Discussion at Peters Township library to focus on Shakespeare comedy
In conjunction with a local production of Shakespeare’s comedy, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream,” Peters Township Public Library will offer a discussion of the play from 3 to 4:30 p.m. Oct. 14.
The program, geared to adults and teens, is being offered to enhance theatergoers’ viewing of the production at Little Lake Theatre in October and November.
Jane Hollman, a former English teacher at Upper St. Clair High School and avid Shakespeare fan, will provide background about the English Renaissance and Shakespeare’s contributions to the times. Participants are encouraged to read the play before attending the program.
After the discussion, a winner will be chosen to receive two complimentary tickets donated by Little Lake Theatre to attend any Thursday, Friday or Sunday performance of the play during its October and November run.
Registration is required by emailing programs@ptlibrary.org or calling 724-941-9430, ext. 1.
