Mast – 50 years
Richard L. and Yvonne Fast Mast of Washington celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a surprise dinner party hosted by their three children and a trip to Gatlinburg, Tenn.
Mr. and Mrs. Mast were married Saturday, July 15, 1967, at Central Christian Church in Uniontown by the Rev. Earl P. Confer.
Their children are Richard (Lesa Skotnicki) Mast Jr. of Penn Hills, Rhonda (Robert) Dalton of Martins Ferry, Ohio, and Robyn (Jason) Colbert of Eighty Four.
They have five grandchildren, Ruthie, Reyna and Rylan Dalton and Braden and Ryan Colbert.
Mr. Mast is retired from Washington Steel Corp. after 32 years. Following his retirement and the mill closure, he worked at International Paper and Home Depot. He owns Mast Awards, making trophies, plaques and awards of all types.
Mrs. Mast is a retired registered nurse from the office and surgical practice of Dr. E. Ronald Salvitti, Southwestern Pennsylvania Eye Center, after 27 years.
Mr. and Mrs. Mast are members of Avery United Methodist Church.
Both are active volunteers of World Series Tournaments Inc. Mr. Mast had managed a Bronco team for 25 years, and his wife was an officer of the Washington Youth Baseball Auxiliary. They both have been active members of the advisory board for the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, the Hiller Band Helpers, Trinity Cheerleading Booster Club and Pancake Football and Cheerleading Boosters.
