Army Pvt. Eric T. Gath has graduated from basic combat training at Fort Sill, Lawton, Okla. Gath is a 2011 graduate of Belle Vernon Area High School, and his parents are Botsko Angela of Belle Vernon and Nicole Gath of Charleroi.
Thomas Orenbaun graduated from basic training in Lackland Air Force Base, Texas, and is training at Keesler Air Force Base, Miss., before leaving for training in aircraft avionics at Shepard Air Force Base, Texas. His parents are Bill and Tammi Orenbaun of Houston. He is a 2012 graduate of Chartiers-Houston High School.
Alyssa Shrump graduated from Navy boot camp in Great Lakes, Ill. She also earned the Navy Pistol Marksmanship Medal. She is training in aviation ordnance at Naval Air Station in Pensacola, Fla. Shrump is a 2010 Pennsylvania Homeschoolers Accreditation Agency graduate, and her parents are Chuck and Debby Shrump of Washington.
Andrew Shrump was promoted to petty officer second class. He is an aviation electrician’s mate stationed at Whidbey Island Naval Air Station, Oak Harbor, Wash. He earned the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for outstanding performance for his last deployment. He was temporarily assigned to Qatar and will be there for several months. Shrump is a 2006 graduate of Pennsylvania Homeschoolers Accreditation Agency, and his parents are Chuck and Debby Shrump of Washington.
