Ronald and Aldene (Cookie) Nicholls of Amity celebrated their golden wedding anniversary.

Mr. and Mrs. Nicholls were married November 24, 1962, in First United Methodist Church in Washington with the Rev. C.E. Haine officiating.

Their son, Michael Wayne, passed away at birth. They have two foster children, Garland Allen Gall of Olive Branch, Miss., and Jessica Rose Warren of New Kensington.

Mr. Nicholls retired from Union Camp Corp. with 35 years of service. He served with the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.

Mrs. Nicholls is retired from Washington Hospital after 22 years of service.

The couple graduated together in 1961 from Trinity High School and are active members of North Ten Mile Baptist Church of Amity (Lone Pine), where Mr. Nicholls is a trustee.
