Donald and Linda McCaig of McMurray celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a family weekend held in their honor over Memorial Day weekend at Deer Valley YMCA family camp. A highlight event was the children’s talent show.

The couple were married June 30, 1962, in Westminster Presbyterian Church, Upper St. Clair, with the Rev. John Galbreath officiating.

Mr. and Mrs. McCaig’s children are Michael (Laurie) McCaig of Venetia, Kerry (Dan) Plesco of Mt. Lebanon and the late Tim McCaig.

Their five grandchildren are Lauren and Max McCaig and Callie, Colin and Georgia Plesco.

Both graduated from Westminster College in New Wilmington and are retired. They are active members of Peters Creek Presbyterian Church in McMurray and continue to be active volunteers with various community organizations. Much of their time is spent as their grandchildren’s “greatest fans” for their many activities.

Mr. McCaig was president of Conaway Inc., a lawn and garden equipment distributorship in Lawrence.

Mrs. McCaig had been marketing director of Friendship Village of South Hills.
