Eddie Jr. and Carrie Bennett of Washington will celebrate their 40th wedding anniversary with a trip in the fall.

The Bennetts were married July 21, 1973, in Washington.

The couple are the parents of a daughter, Capt. Nakeisha Bennett, who is stationed in Kandahar, Afghanistan.

They also have a grandson, Isaiah Lingo.

Mr. Bennett is retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and Mrs. Bennett is retired from Mayview State Hospital.
