Chapman – 65 years

Bob and Vaughn Chapman, lifelong residents of Peters Township and sweethearts since they attended Venetia Grade School in Peters Township, celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary with a daylong outdoor celebration May 25 at their home with their entire family that included a catered breakfast and dinner.

The couple were married in a candlelight ceremony at the bride’s Peters Township home on June 19, 1948.

Mr. and Mrs. Chapman have four children, Terry Chapman (Alvin) McLaughlin of Peters Township, Barry Chapman of Eighty Four, Kimberly Chapman (Tom) Rawson of Peters Township and Gene (Cindy) Chapman of Peters Township.

Their grandchildren are Ted McLaughlin, Molly McLaughlin Dausch, Teresa Rawson Stepic, Jeffrey Rawson and Alex, Dan, Andrei, Nick and Anna Chapman. They also have two great-grandchildren.

Mr. Chapman is a lifelong employee of Chapman Corp., Washington, a former private pilot, avid skier, sporting clay enthusiast and member of Peters Creek Baptist Church.

Mrs. Chapman retired from Pittsburgh Plate Glass in 1950. She is a homemaker, a member of Peters Creek Baptist Church, former skier and avid reader.
