Courie – 50 years
Jim and Rose Courie of Washington will be celebrate their golden wedding anniversary with family.
Mr. and Mrs. Courie were married May 4, 1963.
The couple have two children, Robert J. (Courtney) Courie of Bethel Park and J.J. (Joy) Courie of Bridgeville.
Their grandchildren are Isabella Rose, Zachary James, Nicholas Christian and Kurt John.
Mr. Courie graduated from Chartiers High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Air Force during the Korean War and was stationed in Iceland. For most of his life, Mr. Courie worked at Jessop Steel and The Meadows racetrack.
Mrs. Courie graduated from Canonsburg High School and Mercy Hospital School of Nursing.
She was employed as a registered nurse with Washington Hospital until her retirement.
In their retirement, the couple enjoy Pittsburgh sports, traveling, visiting local casinos and spending time with their children and grandchildren.
