Matt and May Phillips of Washington celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a party for family and friends at the Veterans of Foreign Wars post in Canonsburg, where they renewed their vows, with Pastor Tim Lindsay officiating.

The couple were married November 8, 1963, in Meadow Lands Methodist Church.

They have two children, Scott (Sheila) Phillips of Washington and Shelly Phillips of Midway; one grandson, Justin Phillips; and one great-grandchild.
