Luba – 50 years
Gabriel and Martha Luba of Cecil celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a surprise worship service of praise and thanks to God for 50 years of marriage at Old St. Luke’s Church in Scott Township on Sept. 29.
The service included scripture reading by family members, organ music, songs of praise and renewal of vows with the Rev. Michael McCormick officiating. It was followed was by a dinner reception at DeLallo’s Restaurant for family and friends.
The Lubas were married September 27, 1963, in St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Canonsburg.
Mr. and Mrs. Luba are the parents of three children, Eric Luba of Canonsburg, Kirk Luba of Scott Township and Mark (Michele) Luba of Canonsburg. Their grandchildren are Cody, Mandi and Jacob Luba.
Mr. Luba worked at Cooper Industries for 29 years and retired from Rug Doctor in Canonsburg. Mrs. Luba retired from St. Clair Hospital.
Both are members of the Bible Chapel in McMurray.
