The Rev. Fred Douglas and Norma Jean Helmick celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner given in their honor by Wolfdale Bible Church. The Helmicks also plan a trip to Florida at a later date.

The couple were married October 12, 1963, at Broad Street Baptist Church, with the Rev. Robert Franklin officiating.

The couple have have a son, Clint Douglas Helmick of Houston.

Mr. Helmick is pastor of Wolfdale Bible Church.

Mrs. Helmick is secretary and song leader at the church, and also is employed at Schweinebraten Transit Co.
