Vern and Heidi Ringer of Washington celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a dinner at Solomon’s Seafood Restaurant.

Mr. and Mrs. Ringer were married August 7, 1964, in a small chapel in the Bavarian Alps, Oberammergau, Germany, by Chaplain Ocie I. Courtney, a major in the U.S. Army.

Their children are Scott (Teresa) Ringer of Aiken, S.C., and Brenda (Richard) Rollison and Shawn (Jamie), both of Washington.

Their grandchildren are Scott Jr., Joshua, Christine, Nickolas, Mckayla, Timothy, Ben and Amanda. They also have one great-grandchild.

Mr. Ringer is a retired U.S. Army master sergeant. He enjoys working with wood and restoring antique automobiles.

Mrs. Ringer worked at the Hot House, Eighty Four, and is a homemaker. She enjoys growing flowers, gardening and crocheting.
