At Canonsburg Hospital, Go Red events will be held in the McNary Conference Center, 100 Medical Boulevard, and include:

• 4:30 p.m. – Flower arranging from Malone Florist.

• 5 p.m. – “Peripheral Arterial Disease” with Dr. Gus Abu-Hamad.

• 5:30 p.m. – Flower arranging from Malone Florist.

• 6 p.m. – “Nutrition, Heart Disease and Dr. Dean Ornish Program for Reversing Heart Disease,” by Mark Davis.

• 6:30 p.m. – “What Everyone Needs To Know About Heart Disease,” with Dr. Travis Wilson.

• 7 p.m. – Darieth Chisolm, owner of FullBody Fitness in Brentwood, and a former news anchor on WPXI, will discuss unique workouts such as Aerial Yoga, Pole Dance Fitness, Zumba, Turbo Kick & LaBlast Dance Fitness, PiYoStrength, Bokwa Fitness and more offered by FullBody Fitness.

Monongahela Valley Hospital’s events will be held at the Anthony M. Lombardi Education Conference Center on the hospital campus, 1163 Country Club Road, Monongahela, and will include:

• 4 p.m. – Heart healthy cooking demonstration by MVH executive chef Phoebe Seiverling, and clinical nutrition manager Michele Pfarr, with samples afterward. Seating is limited; please call to reserve your space, 724-258-1333.

• 5 p.m. – Amaera Felder, “Stress Management Techniques to Help Your Heart,” including gentle yoga; for all ages and fitness levels.

• 6 p.m. – Innovations in Medicine talk on heart health and the Dean Ornish program, Dr. R.G.Krishnan, cardiology/internal medicine.

• 6:45 – 7:30 p.m. – Free risk assessments, blood pressure screenings.

Washington Health System events will be held at the hospital’s Wilfred R. Cameron Wellness Center, 240 Wellness Way, Washington, and will include:

• 5:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. – Free blood pressure screenings.

• 11 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. – Heart healthy cooking demo with a registered dietitian and cardiac specialist. Space is limited, call to register, 724-225-WELL.

• Noon and 6:30 p.m. – Meditation for the Heart

• 7 p.m. – Zumba Dance Party, $5 minimum donation. Free gift to all who donate; 100 percent of donations benefit the American Heart Association.

Staff at Canonsburg and Mon Valley Hospital will be selling “Go Red Washington County” gloves and headbands throughout the evening. For any donations made to the American Heart Association at Zumba, Washington Health System will be giving away the gloves and headbands as gifts.
