Kencec – 60 years
Joseph and Marlene Liggitt Kencec celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with a family dinner at Tower Restaurant in Washington.
Mr. and Mrs. Kencec were married March 6, 1954, at the former Westland United Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Willard Liggitt officiating.
The couple have two children, Roxanne (Franklin) Dessify of Washington and Joseph Jr. (Lisa) Kencec of Houston.
Their grandchildren are Michael Dessify, Nicole Dessify, Valerie Hanson, Joseph Kencec III and Thomas Kencec. They have two great-grandsons.
Mr. Kencec worked at Consol Energy’s Westland Mine as a mechanic and retired from Bailey Mine.
Mrs. Kencec is a homemaker.
Both are members of Chartiers Hill United Presbyterian Church, Chartiers Township Senior Citizens and Westland Sportsman Club.
