Ruschak named top hospice aide
Nancy Ruschak, hospice aide with Amedisys Hospice of Monongahela, has been named Hospice Aide of the Year.
Ruschak, who has been with the care center for 34 years, was nominated by her peers at Amedisys Hospice in Monongahela and was selected from hundreds of nominations across 37 states.
“Taking care of our patients is the heart of what we do at Amedisys,” stated Bill Borne, chief executive officer. “Our clinicians, aides and volunteers travel from home to home caring for and sharing compassion with our patients and their caregivers. It takes a special person to do what they do every day, a person with a mission or a calling that inspires them to go beyond doing just a job.”
The Home Health Aide of the Year was presented to Ruschak for demonstrating clinical excellence with patients, positively influencing patients and families, and functioning as an outstanding member of the care team.
