Air Force Airman 1st Class Amber D. Forney graduated with honors from basic military training at Joint Base San Antonio-Lackland, San Antonio, Texas. Airmen who complete basic training earn four credits toward an associate degree in applied science through the Community College of the Air Force. Forney, daughter of Gayle and John Stahlman of Washington, is a 2006 homeschool graduate and earned a bachelor’s degree in 2009 from Geneva College.
Navy seaman recruit Moudy M. Shenouda, son of Monir K. and Mary B. Shenouda of Monessen, recently completed U.S. Navy basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Shenouda is a 2013 graduate of Monessen High School.

Rogers is a 2013 graduate of Mapletown Junior/Senior High School.
