Krovocheck – 50 years
Gilbert and Bernice Mankowski Krovocheck of Weirton, W.Va., celebrated their golden wedding anniversary with a family gathering over the weekend at the Grand Concourse at Station Square, Pittsburgh.
Mr. and Mrs. Krovocheck were married May 23, 1964, in Weirton.
The couple have two daughters, Denise Krovocheck of Columbus, Ohio, and Tina (Rick) Baker of New Kensington.
They have four grandchildren, Christopher and Brooke Baker and Ryan and Brandon Maple, and one great-granddaughter.
Mr. Krovocheck, a 1959 graduate of Cumberland Township High School, retired after 38 years of service in production planning from Weirton Steel Co. He was a paper carrier in Nemacolin for the Observer Publishing Co. in the late 1940s and early 1950s.
Mrs. Krovocheck will retire later this year after 21 years of service from Brightwood Nursing Home as a certified nursing assistant.
Both are members of the Follansbee, W.Va., congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
