Blackburn – 60 years
Dr. Richard and Joyce Blackburn of Washington celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in Ocean Grove, N.J., with their three sons and their wives and their eight grandchildren. Mrs. Blackburn’s sister and brother-in-law of Reno, Nev., also attended the party.
Dr. and Mrs. Blackburn were married August 13, 1955, in Scottdale Methodist Church.
Their children are Dr. Bob (Kathy) Blackburn of Spencer Port, N.Y., Tom Blackburn of New Cumberland and Brig. Gen. Jim (Carla) Blackburn of Fort Stewart, Ga.
Their grandchildren are Mallory, Parker, Erin, Cameron, Hannah, Allie, Jake and Ben.
Dr. Blackburn practiced dentistry in Washington for 35 years.
Mrs. Blackburn is active in the community and most recently was employed by Carlisle University.
Both are members of First United Methodist Church.
