Richard and Betty Crompton of Washington celebrated their golden wedding anniversary by taking a trip to Hawaii in February with friends and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Crompton were married June 11, 1965, at Lone Pine Christian Church with the Rev. Rolland Pfile officiating.

Their children are Melissa (Rob) Sumney and Jonathan (Christine) Crompton.

Their grandchildren are Alexa Holik, Evan Crompton, Seth Sumney, Thayne Crompton, Shawn Sumney and Lilly Crompton.

Mr. Crompton retired from Western Center, where he worked for 26 years, and Baskin-Robbins ice cream store, where he worked for 12 years. Mrs. Crompton retired from Washington Hospital laboratory, where she worked for 45 years as a medical technologist.
